Purton Cricket Club Exhibtion Currently on Display Now
Date for Museum re opening: To be Advised
'Although the Museum is temporarily closed due to COVID19, the Purton Cricket Club Bicentenary Exhibition will remain in place ready to view when the museum re-opens.  After reopening, ample time will be allocated for this important new exhibition to be viewed'.
 
The Cricket Club bicentenary exhibition will be opened on 28/03/2020 at 10am by
Mr. Malcolm Morrison, a consultant at The Great Western Hospital, who played cricket for Purton during the 1960's.

On the actual morning we had a great turn out with almost 30 visitor names in the book, (however I suspect even more wondered through during this time.) We were very fortunate to have a visit from the descendants of Mervyn Richardson, a solider killed in action on the 19th of March in 1916, exactly one hundred years before and whom one of the poppies on display commemorates.
