Commemorative Poppies

On the actual morning we had a great turn out with almost 30 visitor names in the book, (however I suspect even more wondered through during this time.) We were very fortunate to have a visit from the descendants of Mervyn Richardson, a solider killed in action on the 19th of March in 1916, exactly one hundred years before and whom one of the poppies on display commemorates.

The wonderful poignant commemorative poppies will be on display until September, and I think they make quite an impact in the museum.
